Our investment approach
Of the many organisations working with children and young people in Aotearoa, the Fund partners with high-potential orgs that:
Have a proven impact on lifecourse of children and young people
Have the potential to effectively deliver at scale through government funding.
Have a team who are trusted by their community, and can grow their impact
Want to partner with the Aotearoa Lifecourse Fund.
The Fund will support a range of programmes with different scaling targets, with a common focus on supporting evidence-based programmes to reach the optimum scale for their work.
We recognise the importance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi for creating an equitable Aotearoa where the next generation can thrive. We look for organisations that have strong alignment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi across all areas of their governance, operations and service delivery, and where key cultures are represented within the leadership of the programme and have meaningful decision-making roles in terms of strategy, content and implementation.
As a proactive funder, Aotearoa Lifecourse Fund doesn’t accept unsolicited proposals or applications. We find potential partners by talking to people in communities across Aotearoa who know where the best work is happening.
